The project “let’s Go Green Together” is supported by the European Union Erasmus+ programme. Erasmus+ supports the educational, professional and personal development of individuals in the education, training, youth and sport fields. It offers opportunities for learning mobility and active participation for young people, as well as professional development and cooperation for youth workers and youth work organisations.
This autumn a beautiful city of Georgia Kobuleti hosted 36 young and energetic people from 6 different countries that took part in the Erasmus project. The aim of the project was to “become green”, to identify environmental problems and find solutions to those. It is clear that Kobuleti was chosen because of its nature. Members of the project were surprised how clean is the surrounding, how pure is the air, how majestic is the flora.
The project took place from the 21st of September to 30th of September. During this period people from Croatia, Latvia, Armenia, Italy, Greece and Georgia could be noticed on the streets of Kobuleti.
The participants were busy from mornings till evenings discovering how the planet Earth can become a better home for us.

These, and many other questions, were answered by the participants. Intense debates took place in this project.
One of the major problems that participants have noted is the waste of paper. They came to a conclusion that paper can be recycled at home, and there are plenty of things can be made of used sheets of paper. Participants took part in several master classes that taught them how to make new paper, how to make statues, how to make house decorations, etc.
Participants have also visited Batumi. They had a couple of hours to research the city, to find the environmental problems and think of a solution. It was surprisingly hard to find any problems in this beautiful, clean and modern city.
In conclusion, such a complex topic cannot be solved in a single setting, but raising awareness is the first step in a long way in front of us.
