Youth exchange, “Be the solution not the pollution” was held in Kobuleti, Georgia, 1-10 September 2022. The main topic of the exchange was the environment, its problems and the solutions. 36 youth workers to take an initiative and make changes. For a greater engagement, the facilitator used several ways of learning methods, starting from games and getting deeper to the point where they can have valuable discussions and think about possible solutions based on countries’ situations. During the project they had the chance to take a real action and clean the local beach in Kobuleti while showing a live example for locals and visitors. The variety of the knowledge offered by the participants spanned between topics like effective communication about climate change, urbanization, and environmental footprint of food.
Cultural and social interaction is the core of Erasmus Youth Exchange program. The participants have a chance to communicate and share knowledge among each other. Diversity of participants resulted in several discussions and debates, where participants learned intensively about a variety of cultures and perspectives. Experience of different cultures’ cuisine, drinks, sweets, dances, music, common views and beliefs, made all participants to sincerely immerse and understand other nations on a much deeper scale.
