We were honoured to be part of the youth exchange “Protection from Discrimination” which took place in Kobuleti, Georgia (21-30 October 2022). Participants from Georgia, Armenia, Türkiye, Greece, Poland and Kroatia gathered with the common aim to destroy the stereotypes and to fight against discrimination. The Youth exchange offered the opportunity to become familiar with different countries’ inter-ethnic coexistence, make valuable contacts, exchange useful examples, and replicate them back home. Also through this project we were able to discuss non-formal and informal learning approaches which play a key role in youth work. We were hosted in a hotel by the sea in a small beautiful Georgian town. With the help of Nini, our amazing facilitator, we took part in different activities like debates, roleplay, theater play, city game and so much more. Every evening we had a cultural night where we had the chance to discover new cultures, delicious food and drinks and traditional dances. Moreover, we visited Batumi with its beautiful skyscrapers and talked with locals. Now the project is coming to an end but in reality everything starts now because all this knowledge and insights will lead to a big change in our society.
It was an unforgettable experience!
