YCG had an opportunity to host the second stage of the Erasmus Plus project “Eco-friendly Youth”.
The project took place in Kobuleti, Georgia, from the 14th of October to the 20th of October. 30 teenagers aged 13-17 and 6 team leaders from Denmark, Latvia, and Georgia were involved in the project.
The project aimed to create a platform for participants to share their ideas, learning points, and experiences. It focuses on raising awareness about environmental degradation, eco issues, and their impact on health. Participants were educated about essential concepts like sustainability, environmental issues, and how to promote active citizenship in their communities. The project also aimed to stimulate creativity, challenge participants’ behaviors, and equip them with the necessary skills for responsible actions in their communities. The participants learned how to spread information about environmental education to the local community and were introduced to Erasmus+ opportunities.
The participants about the project: I joined the Erasmus project, which was really fun! Many of us believe it’s the best place to make new friends. We all learned and practiced English together. We talked about different topics and shared our feelings. Working in teams was great because we got to share ideas and learn to speak in front of others. We also learned about different countries and how they live. Some of us even learned a lot about nature and the environment. But the best part was meeting new people and making friends. We’ll always remember that Erasmus was a big adventure for many of us.
